FROZEN FOOD FESTIVAL PROGRAM

EFFA’s Frozen Food Festival entitled “March is Frozen Food Month!” is an exciting advertising campaign that pulls together manufacturers, brokers, and retailers in raising the noise level about frozen foods. Stores are decorated for an entire month with materials featuring the logos of each participating manufacturer. Display contests motivate retail personnel to build better displays. Radio campaigns feature our theme and participating brands. Blue Penguin Awards bestow special recognition on those retailers, brokers, and manufacturers who perform in outstanding ways. EFFA’s Festival Program draws customers to the frozen food aisle and boosts sales.

SPRING DINNER

Our Spring Dinner celebrates a successful “March is Frozen Food Month.” Retailers and brokers reward the efforts of their staff as they bring them out to this event. Blue Penguin Awards are presented to those companies whose outstanding efforts have been recognized by our panel of judges. This is a great night for all participants to share together in the excitement that the Festival Program generates.

Toward the objective of attracting new talent to the frozen food industry, hundreds of deserving college students receive financial assistance, which further encourages colleges to support training curricula related to the industry. Scholarship are also available to promising talent within the industry to help advance their careers as well as the children of member companies. Funds are generously contributed by the Association and by corporations and individuals interested in the future of our industry. EFFA has awarded over $800,000 since the program's inception. The EFFA Foundation is a full charity capable of accepting gifts and contributions of any size. We can also set up Memorial Funds to remind us of members no longer here with us.

GOLF OUTING

An outing you can look forward to. A once a year social event with business mixed in.. in a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. New members meet regulars, regulars meet old friends, and everyone enjoys the camaraderie. A truly successful event for over 50 years - more prizes - more attendees - more golf - and more fun!

Night at the Races is held at the Meadowlands Racetrack. All proceeds from this event go directly to fund EFFA’s Scholarship Program.

Fall begins a new school year and EFFA’s Fall Dinner focuses on the students who have been selected to receive EFFA Scholarships. Several colleges whose curriculum offers opportunity for students pursuing a career in the food industry attend in support of those who have been awarded an EFFA Scholarship. Our members come out to show their support of these students who have demonstrated academic excellence as well as enthusiasm about pursuing a career in the food industry.
